has anyone had to intern or has worked as an MA at us health works in ? if so please explain some of your duties. or any us health works.....

I have inside info into the duties of the medical assistants at us health works. I know they are very busy. They assist the Dr.s and PAs with patients. They check vital signs and administer injections. They obtain health histories and do drug tests. A good knowledge of ortho injuries and treatments like applying a splint is helpful. They need to be up to date on alot of workers comp stuff. They do all the testing for pre employment physicals like agility testing and snellen eye chart. They need excellent customer service skills. If you are xray certified and bilingual that's a plus. Its a very fast paced place. I think they hire alot of the MAs that intern with them. Also, they promote alot from within. Many managers started out as MAs. Good Luck!
